We are accepting resumes preferably from Regions 1, 3, or 7.

Shelly Hollen is the sub-chair for the Judge Education.  Kay Marks is in charge of a public awareness project to reach people in ASCAra.gif and those that are not familiar with ASCAra.gif.  Kays project is also an educational foray to highlight the attributes of the Australian Shepherd and thus attempt to inform people before they choose to buy an Aussie.

The focus of the committee this year will be to provide a multi-faceted approach that will be inclusive of creating and initiating educational programs and seminars for many levels of fanciers.  Our goal is to work with the other committees to provide a network foundation for ASCAra.gif education.  We invite all inquiries and suggestions from the membership

ASCA Education Committee

BoD Liaison: Michelle Berryessa, DVM

Committee roster: Lisa Bell (Chair) ;Regi Gravette; Shelly Hollen; Kay Marks;  Tricia Morley; Chris Reedy;  Rhonda Silveira;  Glenda Stephenson.

The committee continues to accept resumes and asks for volunteers to send your resumes to Jo Kimes.  We prefer resumes from members in regions 3 and 7, but all interested parties should apply.

The committee approved an agility flyer for use in awareness campaigns and advertising for ASCA  agility.  This flyer, if approved by the BoD, will be available for posting at events and promoting the agility program.  Similar flyers will be created for the promotion of ASCA awareness.  Ongoing research is being addressed for other resources and out sources for the promotion of ASCA.

We are working on collating a series of articles and FAQ sheets relating to ASCA programs, breed standard and history which would be available for distribution at events.

We invite membership comments, questions or concerns and will attempt to address these issues relating to Education.
