During their Spring Meeting, the Board voted to increase the show sanctioning deadline from 45-days to 60-days in advance of the event being sanctioned.
The Board will vote on allowing a 30-day grace period for Affiliate Clubs sanctioning events held prior to July 30, 2019, during their June teleconference meeting. After July 1, all Affiliate Clubs will be required to meet the 60-day sanctioning deadline.
This was done in response to a request from the Business Office. A common concern from members is that show flyers are not available on the website far enough in advance of an event. There are various reasons for this, such as the sanctioning paperwork being sent in on the last allowable day, which doesn’t leave much time to get notice posted, or because there are errors in sanctioning or on the flyer, which can further delay the notice. A deadline of 60-days out from the event will give the Office and the Affiliate more time to advertise the event and, hopefully, increase participation.
